Why did I create this gem?

I love Ruby and Rails because they focus on real business needs. Yukihiro Matsumoto’s belief that «clean code brings joy to developers and improves results» was an inspiration to me.

When Rails 7 was released, DHH’s post «Fulfilling a Vision» inspired me further. My strongest selling point to my clients is a test-driven, full-stack app that delivers reliable, complex solutions. And i prefer Rails’ full-stack approach with minimal JavaScript.

However, one thing was missing: A reactive component to meet modern front-end demands.

So began my journey. After the Webpacker era of Rails, it quickly became clear that Vite had to be used as the front-end engine. Ever since I heard about Svelte, I had been looking for an good Rails integration.

Svelte on Rails is a perfect fit.
